about
(Hope)
Being human is a source of hope, but the ignorant do not know that. It is better to have hope than to be overwhelmed by everything... Whoever ignores this human value will live in obscurantism, because hope is the light of the future. The village head, the soldier, hospitality, cousins in jest, the neighbourhood, the fruit tree, the flowing river, the mother... all of these are sources of hope. Those who do not know this are ignorant people who must be helped.
(Espoir)

"Rise & Shine" reflects how far the band has come in the past few years, realizing a unique and seamlessly coherent sound: a fusion of traditional West African music and roots reggae. Habib Koite
Nahawa Doumbia has a beautiful voice that fits perfectly with the arrangements accompanying her on these songs. What is there not to love in this album? It's all beauty. Thibaut Devigne
The groove on Badala is an absolute monster. If this doesn't move you, you might as well check yourself into the ER to make sure you aren't dead because the groove is DEEP and HARD. Polygondwanajams
